Seasonal Full-Time, Non-exempt

General Duties:
Enter data on clients into central computer database, updating files as needed. Prepare and maintain records in Health Data Track (HDT) system, entering an updating health, dental, immunization, and related records. Prepare and maintain records and enter data on volunteers, donations, and related files and prepare periodic reports. Prepare and format newsletters, informational documents, brochures, and related documents. Monitor inventory reports and enter into database. Prepare and maintain records, logs, documents, periodic statistical reports, reviews, databases, and progress reports. Open files, documents, and maintain records of health, nutritional, educational, social service, and related services provided to clients. Prepare agenda, attends, and take and prepare minutes for assigned meetings. Provide general receptionist, clerical, secretarial, and administrative services to center staff, as needed, including greeting the public, telephone service, handling incoming and outgoing mail, receiving and storing inventory, and preparing reports, correspondence, and mailings. Run errands, make deliveries, and purchase supplies, as needed. Assist in classroom and/or on bus as needed. Maintain standards of confidentiality of CCOFIDAHO clients and records. Perform all work duties and activities in accordance with CCOFIDAHO policies, procedures, and safety practices.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum requirement of high school diploma or GED with office/clerical skills. Experience working with or caring for young children helpful.
  • Bilingual communication skills, English and Spanish, required.
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of automobile liability insurance, required.
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certification, required.
  • Evidence of no communicable diseases established through medical examination. 
  • Ability to successfully complete a criminal background investigation required for day care licensure.
  • Strong internal and external customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and remain calm under stressful situations.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, including a personal computer using program applications appropriate to assigned duties
  • Understanding of and advocacy for the Head Start philosophy and the ability to implement its principle of shared authority and decision-making with the families of Head Start Students.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and documentation skills required.
  • Drug testing may be required.
