Public Relations Specialist Duties - Other Duties as assigned
Must possess excellent oral and written communication in both English & Spanish.
Prepare or edit organizational publications for internal and external audiences, including employee newsletters and agency reports.
Respond to requests for information from the media or designate another appropriate spokesperson or information source.
Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with representatives of community, consumer, employee, and public interest groups.
Plan and direct development and communication of informational programs to maintain favorable public perceptions of an organization's accomplishments and agenda.
Arrange public appearances to increase service program and fundraising awareness.
Study the objectives, promotional policies and needs of organizations to develop public relations strategies that will influence public opinion or promote services.
Confer with other managers to identify trends and key group interests and concerns or to provide advice on business decisions.
Consult with advertising agencies or staff to arrange promotional campaigns in all types of media for products, organizations, or individuals.
Coach client representatives in effective communication with the public and with employees.
Prepare and deliver speeches to further public relations objectives.
Purchase advertising space and time as required to promote agency agenda.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelors degree in communication/business or a related field preferred
High School Degree Required -
2 year experience preferred in similar position -
1 year experience required in similar position -
Language Skills
Bilingual skills English/Spanish required
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical and field-related journals, financial reports, and legal and regulatory documents
Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from clients, regulatory agencies, and/or members of the community
Ability to prepare and present speeches, articles for publication, and public and community information presentations that conform to prescribed style and format
Ability to prepare and present information to CC Idaho management and community groups
Ability to communicate effectively and establish working relationships with supervisors and co-workers
Ability to understand and follow oral and/or written policies, procedures, and instructions
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as, budgets, grant payments, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and related financial information
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Ability to calculate and monitor budget expenditures
Computer Skills
Required Profecciency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Powerpoint,
Profecciency in Microsoft Office: Publisher, Access preferred
Internet Research -
Minimum Typing Skills - 40WPM

Current driver's license and proof of auto insurance required
